The controversial alcohol, Tequila

While Tequila has been rapidly gaining popularity in the United States throughout the past decade, it is often associated with bad decision making, making it highly controversial. Tequila is made from the agave plant and is divided into three different groups: white, rested, and aged. White tequila is generally softer, sweeter, and lighter, making it easier to take straight shots of. Rested is darker and stronger, however, it is often more flavorful. Aged tequila is stronger, darker, and more flavorful as the aging process is really shown through its earthy and dark taste. While many shy away from tequila shots, margaritas are a staple in the cocktail world.

Don Julio – a world-famous tequila that is often appreciated and respected by people who do not like other tequilas, is easily one of the most popular tequilas in the entire world. Don Julio has almost no “burn” making it a fantastic tequila to drink straight. Don Julio has a rich, slightly smokey, smooth taste that makes a great addition to almost any cocktail. I highly recommend Don Julio for anyone that normally shy away from tequilas due to its extremely smooth taste.

Patron – a party associated tequila. While some may say there are definitley better tequilas for this price, it is absolutely necessary that you try this tequila at least once in your life as it is widely controversial. Patron is extremely controversial as some worship it to no end while others completely bash its existence so formulating your own opinion on Patron is a must do. The packaging of Patron is very alluring which builds up high expectations before it has even been poured. Patron is a decently smooth alcohol with little to no “burn,” making it excellent for mixing into cocktails or drinking it straight.

Cabeza – a vibrant and earthy tequila. Tequila Cabeza has a very smooth initial taste followed by a warming finish. Tequila Cabeza is very vibrant capturing many aspects of a great tequila into one bottle. While Tequila Cabeza is earthy, it’s balanced nicely with a warming fruity and herbal flavor.

The Magic of VODKA

V O D K A, the drink of wild teens, happens to be one of my favorite alcohols as a good vodka is like the sight of a burger when you’re stoned: absolutely fucking amazing. From your classic Smirnoff to your delicious Grey Goose, vodka always does the trick, putting you right on your ass.

Smirnoff – the absolutely disgusting party vodka is a fantastic way to get shit faced absurdly quickly. I recommend half a bottle of Raspberry Smirnoff. That’ll do the trick on just about anyone, tasting good at the same time. While regular Smirnoff does not make me gag, I’ve seen people puke so if you’re sensitive to hard alcohols I recommend mixing it with some orange juice or an Izze, or if you’re really fancy you can whip up a cocktail.

Grey Goose – a tastier but also highly priced alcohol. Grey goose is better for drinking socially later in life as it is usually associated with a better flavor than Smirnoff. Personally, I recommend about 3 shots for a nice buzz that’ll let you have a good time with some friends. Vodka happens to be my favorite alcohol because of how easy it is to drink without the thought of puking even crossing my mind so Grey Goose is always a go-to for me.

Absolut – an absolute classic vodka. While it’s not your best vodka it’s a reliable good vodka and when drunk in moderation a hangover isn’t a worry at all. Absolut is a classic moderately priced vodka that’s consistently good.
